Meet Coach Corry
Michael Corry is a former three year varsity basketball player at Fox Lane High School while growing up in Bedford, New York. After his high school career, Coach Corry began coaching in 2014 with Chris Ward Basketball, an AAU and player development program based out of Ardsley, New York. CWB has allowed him to work with a multitude of players from different schools and age groups across Westchester County.
Coaching AAU has given him the opportunity to coach in some of the biggest AAU tournaments along the East Coast like, The Philadelphia Jamfest, Zero Gravity Spookfest, and The GymRat Challenge Basketball Tournament located in Albany, NY.
Through individual player development sessions, summer camps, and AAU tournaments Coach Corry works with players on their ball handling, passing, shooting fundamentals and work ethic. He has worked with and helped coach over 20 players who currently play for division III and division II college programs at schools like Jon Hopkins, SUNY Geneseo, Manhattanville, Middlebury College, and SUNY New Paltz.
As a coach he takes pride in approaching the game the right way in order to help his players improve individually and collectively as basketball players, while at the same continuing to learn as much as possible to grow as a coach. In December of 2019 he graduated from the College of Charleston with a Major in International Studies and minor in Spanish. He is currently working on receiving his Masters in Social Studies from the Zuckerberg school of Education at the Citadel Graduate College. He is one of the current Basketball Coaches at Mason Preparatory School, located in Downtown Charleston. Coach Corry is eager to get started and looking forward to beginning his career with DynamicSportsTeam.
