WESLEY HORNE IS A FORMER NBA PLAYER DEVELOPMENT COACH WITH THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS & CLIPPERS. HE WORKED AS A SHOOTING INSTRUCTOR, ASSISTANT COACH AND 1 ON 1 PERSONAL TRAINER. COACH HORNE ALSO SPENT TWO SEASONS AS A LEAD NBA STATISTICAL ANALYST FOR THE PHILADELPHIA 76ERS.
COACH HORNE WORKED UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE LATE & GREAT HARVEY POLLACK (AKA SUPER STAT) WHO COINED THE PHRASE "TRIPLE-DOUBLE" AND IS CURRENTLY A MEMBER OF THE NBA HALL OF FAME.
PRIOR TO THE NBA, COACH HORNE SPENT SEVERAL YEARS AS AN NCAA, NJCAA AND HIGH SCHOOL COACH. THROUGHOUT WESLEY'S CAREER, HE HAS COACHED, SCOUTED, TRAINED AND MENTORED PLAYERS ON ALL LEVELS.
Brad McCorkle
Coach Brad McCorkle has experience with nearly every facet of the game. As a collegiate player with post-college international playing experience, high school Head Coach, player skills and college-prep specialist, and parent of a D1 collegiate player, Brad brings valuable experience from every perspective of the game to DST.
Coach McCorkle played at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC where he excelled as the team’s captain and MVP his Jr and Sr seasons. After college, Brad gained international experience, playing in France and Belgium. Since his playing days, Brad built a successful small business while serving as a varsity Head Coach at Broughton HS in Raleigh, NC, as well as working with players as a skills and college-prep development coach helping prepare players for college hoops.
Brad has two children. His daughter Sara Bradley is a senior at Wofford College. His son Carson is a Wofford graduate. Carson finished his basketball playing career at Wofford after playing two seasons at the University of Virginia.
Marquise Pointer
Coach Pointer's basketball career began as a highly successful high school player, where he was recognized as the No. 35 point guard in the nation (ESPN). While earning All-State honors, he led his team to the class 6A Arkansas State Championship.
Coach Pointer then played at the College of Charleston where he was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team. Throughout his college career, he helped lead the Cougars to the NIT, CAA conference championship, and a first-round bid to the NCAA tournament.
Following his playing days, Coach Pointer transitioned into coaching and has been serving as an assistant coach at Lucy Beckham High School for the past four years. Coach Pointer is passionate about player development and has proven to be a great instructor of skill and IQ.
Coach Pointer's winning pedigree and passion make him a valuable asset to any aspiring basketball player looking to improve their game and reach new heights.
